AND, that by doing that, America would have a vested interest in PROTECTING their Investment in Ukraine... AND, that it could be accomplished WITHOUT America poking Putin in the nose... BUT, Zelensky evidently did NOT understand the opportunity... OR THOUGHT he has trump JUST where he wanted him... AND SO... Zelensky goes home with nothing... Trump is furious, Russia and China are happy, and Ukraine risks America just walking away from the entire deal.

Someone needs to explain to Zelensky, that Trump needs to be a fair arbiter of ANY deal with Putin... and can NOT play overt favorites... ALTHOUGH Europe can and SHOULD... Trump needs to walk a fine line, and try to bring peace, because the U.S.A. CONTINUING to spend Hundreds of billions of $$$ supporting an endless war... is wearing thin...  AND, that a peace where Europe takes the lead of being MORE the muscle and peace keeper in Ukraine, and America being more neutral partner with a vested interest in Ukraine AND PEACE... MAY WELL be the path toward a LASTING PEACE in EUROPE...

But, what Zelenski did yesterday was VERY naive, NOT well thought out, and to put it bluntly... STUPID !  IF he REALLY wants to save Ukraine... He would do well NOT trying to embarrass Trump, ADMIT he screwed up, and GO GROVELING back to Trump... because Trump already TOLD him what Ukraine's future is if he doesn't...  and SALVAGE the best HOPE for an independent Ukraine!!
all peace treaties include no future conflicts. any treaty that does not include this is not a treaty at all.

But the divide between the two leaders became clear when reporters asked about the details of a possible ceasefire and if the U.S. was prepared to provide security guarantees to Ukraine.Trump dismissed the idea as irrelevant.“I don’t want to talk about security yet, because I want to get the deal done,” Trump said. “Security is so easy, that’s about 2% of the problem. I’m not worried about security. I’m worried about getting the deal done.”For months, Zelenskyy has argued that any ceasefire or peace agreement has to include security commitments from European countries and the U.S. to help arm and protect Ukraine from further aggression from Russia. European leaders have endorsed Zelenskyy’s stance, and France and the United Kingdom have indicated they would be ready to send troops to back up a peace accord.
